Resident Evil 4 Castle Dining Room Gate Puzzle?

Is there a way that the caged door will open but you will not be ambushed by the cage trap. In the Dining Room
there are 4 boards:
1.Bread begins the meal of Life.
2.A dessert to cherish our Remaining Years.
3.Meat to savor the time at hand.
4.One last drink and the bottle breaks.
When you ring the bell a painting is shown by shooting the wine glass or bottle the door opens to proceed but its a trap if you shoot any of the other objects the painting flips over until you ring the bell again.
I know it may sound odd, I can already progress but I was curious if the developers have this as a puzzle to avoid the ambush?
Please respond with your ideas if you know the answer or share your own thoughts if you agree with me.

I doubt it, I have played this game through quite a few times and messed about with the puzzles. I haven’t found any way to bypass the trap. I don’t think the puzzles in this game are supposed to be that complex, RE isn’t that kind of game anymore. You just have to try again if you miss, that’s it I think.
